How do I turn a floor plan into a render?

A floor plan fixes the layout precisely and says nothing about height, material, or light. Rendering from one therefore means supplying that missing third dimension — traditionally by modelling it, and with AI by inference.
In practice you upload the plan, tell the tool what kind of space it is, and pick a style and lighting condition. What comes back is an interior view consistent with the layout you drew, furnished and lit according to those choices.
Two things improve the result more than anything else. Give the plan clean line work and legible room boundaries, since anything ambiguous on the drawing will be resolved by guesswork. And state the room type explicitly rather than letting it be inferred — a plan of a bedroom and a plan of a small office can look very similar in outline.
